Tate Ramsey took out the King of the River win at the Battery World National Drivers' Championship round in Taree, NSW, racing "Lay It On" to a dominant result in the day's final races. The win capped off a tough weekend for the Ramsey Racing team, who finished 4th equal for the round alongside Mayhem and continue to hold 2nd place overall in the Unlimited Class championship standings, behind series leader Odin.
The Weekend at Taree
It wasn't the smoothest weekend on the water for Ramsey. Heading into the final races, he wasn't satisfied with how things were tracking. That frustration showed up in the best possible way when he put together a commanding run in King of the River, leaving no doubt about who had the pace on the day.

For Lucas Oil, it's another example of the kind of performance under pressure we look for in the teams we back, the ability to push through a difficult weekend and still deliver when it counts. Unlimited Class racing doesn't leave much room for error, and Ramsey's King of the River win is a reminder of what consistent preparation and a competitive mindset can produce, even when the rest of the weekend doesn't go to plan.

Heading to Dargle
With the championship still tightly contested, Tate and the Ramsey Racing team will look to build on this result at the next round in Dargle, NSW, taking place 31 July – 2 August 2026.
